How To Get Mri Brain Scans Into C4d As A Textured 3d Model

  • I need to MRI brain scans converted to a 3D textured model in C4D.

The Medical institute uses a program called MRIcro that takes the 2D brain slices and converts them to a textured 3D matrix that can output tiff and png formats. Don't know about the 3D export options at this stage.

A similar program/format Analyze can output the following formats:

Alias, IGES, SLC, ASII list, DXF, OBJ, IV, STL, VRIO, VRML, POLY, SSD, POGO, PATRAN, Inventor, Autocad.

Anyone done this before or got any suggestions on where to go. Google led me to lots of dead ends.

What formats should I be asking for? Any plugins or other software that might be helpful?

    Cheers

    Chris

  • thanks.

I've seen the tutorial and VRML sounds a good bet but I don't think MRIcro can output VRML. There's an expensive program called Analyze that can output 3 d formats like VRML and there's a chance that the Institute may have access to it. Will let you know what happens

    cheers

  • Oh and the Bush scan wouldn't even have a single polygon so it would be no good.
