Text Animation

  • I'm trying to create some animated text where the animation acts like this:

    1) Text appears extruded

    2) Front face of the text zooms towards (and past) the camera but still appears extruded

    3) The "Back" face of the text then does the same in order to catch up with the front

similar to the opening titles in the current Dr Who series.

Something along the lines of this "Forbidden Planet" text though in this case the red text will

be out of shot past the camera

Any ideas how to go about this?
