  • im starting this thread so people can list what tut they want to see.

    i know i could read through other thread in this section but thought it would be easier if i just started this thread

    so list your request and ill see what i can do

    hi,

    real airplane tutorial with moving parts, so one can see what tecnics are used with moving parts and how to set up sliders on xpresso and range mappers I ask this cause I'm on a quest to do a macross airplane and thats a hard one for me since it all moves and transforms and stuff .. :o

    oh wel that's my wish at least lol XD

    I would really love to see an indepth tut. on the more 'exotic' effects in cinema like proximal, normal direction, vertex map... etc. also some different examples what can be done with those would be great...

    I know that they can achieve some great results but I don't seam to use them often so I think it would be a nice idea for a tutorial...

    and yes offcourse also the Glow filter :P ahhhh sweet thing....

    The biggest thing that I always crave for in any tutorial is for the tutorial to explain WHY changing certain attributes do what they do.

    It's always very easy to copy something in a tutorial to get the same effect, but until you understand the physics, etc... or why something does what it does, you can't apply it (for best effectiveness) to something else.

    Take for example, shadow Bias. We can put it up and down, but what is it actually doing to the shadow? (lame example, but hey...)

    Those are the kinda things I love in any tutorial!

    i dont know everything :)

    i could probably find the answer on them all.

    so its not great yet :P its only great if i can do them

  • i did a tut on using proximal to displace a an object/plane using a sphere

    ill post a link to it when its finished encoding

    i would post them here at the cafe in the tut section but i think they be to small
