Proximal Shader

Hi all,

I was trying to find a good tutorial or tips on using the Proximal Shader - what is it used for and how

is it integrated?

I was hoping I could use it to sense elevations so I might be able to create some stratified terrain

as in Bryce or Vue. I'll eventually invest in Vue Xtreme - but right now I'd like to see how this

native C4D shader works.

Oh yeah, if there's another shader more appropriate, please let me know! spoton.gif

The proximal shader is just a shader used so that when a certain object is within proximity of another, it produces a result, whether it be color, bump, displacement, etc.

If you want to create something for terrain, try the falloff shader. Change the colors accordingly to what you want. It kinda works like an elevation shader if used in the color channel.
