Yepp, storm tracer would do a better and faster jobb than pyro. but you could get your render time pretty low.

    Have a look at Base80's Autumn Leaves mini-tute. Just use a snowflake bitmap instead of the leaf.

  • You couldn't post the scene file of the pyrocluster added to the emitter could you? I am having trouble putting the texture on to the particles.

    I aint done this in such a long time I have forgotten it all.

    Pyro is much too cumbersome. Why not use FOG as a texture with displacement and/or bump to create FLUFFY snowflakes? Much quicker than using Pyro....just a thought. Will need to play around with it to get what you want. laugh.gif

  • I have got Pyro looking really good.

    But fog is a good idea too, it may speed up render times.

    I will give that a go next.
