Help With H-nurbs

  • Hi

I modelled a church from a primitive, a very simple shape. I wanted the edges to be just a touch rounded so I put them in a H-Nurbs object and it rounded every thing off way too much. Ho do I control the roundness of the edges on a nurb? Can you change that after making the original shape editable? Please help!

  • you can use a "weight hypernurbs" tool

    under structure/weight hypernurbs

just select the edges you dont want effected by hypernurbs and click on "set" in the "weight hypernurbs" attributes

  • I checked out that tool. I dont know how to use it yet.

My point is there must be some way that you can control how much an H Nurbs effects your mesh.

it might be easier to just bevel the edges you want smoothed rather than weighting edges under hn, because it's alot easier to grasp than hn and wieghting usually envolves tweaking the phong shading

I agree with rareseu. Hypernurbs aren't appropriate for every type of model and I'd say that for a conventional piece of architecture they would hinder more than help.
