Plug In Or Script

does anyone remember quite a while back someone made a plug in some script that would import an image and automatically apply it to a plane the correct size?

cant find it anywhere, unless im going nuts and it doesnt exist...

also, if i have a folder of say 50 images, is there a way i can auto load them up to a new material rather than having to load image every time? might be asking a bit too much there :)

    cheers

    Colin,

I'm not sure if such a plugin exists, but you might be able to achieve the batch importing of images from a folder using Apple Script.

The only thing I can think of is SteadyPlane but it doesn't sound quite what you are looking for.

If you want to open lots of textures as materials, open the folder they are in select and drag them into the material manager.

You can do this from the Content Browser or just an ordinary folder.

    edit.

Doh! I've just notice I already have Image plane in my scripts. They don't call me memory man for nothing.(I've got to pay them for that) roflmao.gif

Have you selected all the images before dragging them into the Material manager?

It only seems to work when dragging images from a folder.

You can only load one image at a time with the Material managers File menu.

This sounds a bit crazy to me. If you can drag a bunch of images in then why

can't you just load them as well.
