Mushroom Cloud

  • I need to animate a mushroom cloud.

Anyone out there done this before maybe?

I could use a few pointers to get started.

Is there a way to have a spline emit particles and change it's size over time.

(I'm not too up on what TP are capable of)

    Cheers

    it would involve

creating a object eg.. sphere shape.

    then the Tp pmatterwaves node

    and pyrocluster.

that would make partical emit from the object.

that explaination isnt in detail since im not at home.

if no one has answered better when i get home ill post a example file

  • I'm having a play with this idea, but a fuller explanation would be fantastic.

  • I just read your post on a similar subject at the cg soc site.

Check the TP Rolling Emitter Preset. It will create a column of outwards rolling particles. Maybe change size over age to create the mushroom head bulge.
