  • I was curious about one thing ..

How do i know when, or when not to enable the use of n-gons with the bevel, and extrude commands ? I have found that they sometimes help, and other times they make a messey mesh, and often find ways around not using them .. any input to clear my mind would be great .. thanks smile.gif

    Best,

    Paul

Trial and error I guess. Same over here Paul. Sometimes it works out great. Sometimes not.

I agree with Rich_Art, altho a good indicator would be if you plan to weight, break phong shading or further edit the edges that would be created as a result of beveling then you should probably shouldn't use n-gons

It doesn't really matter since you can always use the remove n-gons function and get your edges back smile.gif
