  • Cian and 3DKiwi...thank you! Got it to work...going to take a bit to get used to how C4D "thinks"...so far so good.

So Cian, is that a "taste" of the DVD you're working on? If so, it's going to be incredibly helpful.

    Thank you again, Josephus

That little clip wont be on it but I will be explaining snaping.

I just made that quickly to sort your problem.

That and to see if people could understand my accent :)

  • Your voice will be easy to listen to for long periods of time, it's clear, a good speed (not too fast) and not much "accented" :)

You mentioned in another post that the DVD you're working on will include the rendering done in AR. Just wondering....do you have VRayforC4D? Since I've admired VRay for some time, and the lack of an acceptable render engine either in or as a plug-in for FormZ was the main reason for leaving FormZ, the C4D/VRay combo seemed like the optimal choice to meet my arch/viz needs for some time. Besides that, in our firm the CAD people use Archicad (I only do the design work....by hand and Photoshop), so the Maxonform "bridge" between Archicad and C4D is another attractive "plus".

Ya I do have V-ray but haven't had much time to play with it yet.

I may study vray and include a bonus video but don't hold me to it.

    It will mainly be AR.

The main reason I went for Cinema in the first place is because of the good

    relationship between Cinema and Archicad.

I have been using archicad for a few years now.

I love working with both programs.

  • Won't hold you to a VRay vid...main thing I need right now is to get a handle on the modeling. Maybe my 7 +/- years with FormZ/Renderzone, the VRay tuts etc, will get me through some basic renders w/VRay. I'm figuring a year or two working in C4D/VRay an hour or so a day to get acceptably proficent.

Although currently not doing much CAD, I've been doing CAD over 15 years, just got into Archicad a couple of years ago...killer program to learn, ugh! Fortunately at our firm we have an Achicad "guru" to help us.
