Selectively Ignore Foreground Object?

Recommended Posts

Guest beachouse

I've matched up some video and I have some cars in the foreground I want to sit over the top of a foreground ojbect which is masking out a vehicle further back. Is there a way to kind of exclude the foreground cars from being masked by the foreground object? I would rather avoid rendering the foreground cars separately and comping in afx.

please excuse the pixel aspect.

Ok I solved this. I don't know why I was using a foreground object when it wasn't really the foreground. I put a plane in further back between the camera and bus and projected the tree mask onto that.
