I'm trying to learn how to make a flame like a log fire in a fireplace. I have played around with procluster in 9.6. I just cant get a nice looking flame, its too round and not tapered like a fire. do any of you know any tuts i can view to get a better idea.

as always the members here are so helpful. thank you

you need to a find a sequence(preferably looped) of png's or a flame. Then just slap em in. Should be a lot easier than pyrocluster, probs produce a better result and render a hell of a lot faster.

At the moment pyrocluster is very slow, and not very usefull. As far as i know in cinema it's better to use third party particle plugs.

Not 100% sure what your saying but, rendering is too long. I'll keep working at it. thanks.
