2 Objects Connect

  • How do I get two objects to connect (ex. the spike of a dragonfruit > to the dragonfruit body) so that the connection does not reveal any seam, is there any way to take a few objects, and make it look like they've all been wrapped in the same mesh?

I want to construct the spikes of the dragon fruit seperately from the body, then place them so that they are inserted into the body, but I would like the area of the seam, to seem like it is welded to the body. Am i thinking about this in the wrong way?

  • i would model it from the body mesh.

it would be just a matter of making extrudes

but to connect object just select both objects and use the "connect" command

select both objects then "right mouse" click and choose "connect".

    delete or hide original objects

then use the weld tool to weld the points together
