  • Hey,

I 'm new in this forum, so hello to everybody.

I'm working with vectorworks to model my architecture projects and import the model in c4d. But the problem is that the moddel axis is not rigth and my model somewhere in space. How do i simpely make my zero point where i want it.

    greetz,

    it's actually pretty straight forward...

In vectorworks you have the rulers on the top and side and in the corner between them you have like a little diagonal arrow with this arrow you can set the zero point where you want it....

I don't know if you know this already but if you export your model you have to use the top view....

because if you don't export the model in top view it will be rotated when importing into cinema so it doesn't show correctly on the working grid... well you could grab the whole model and rotate it so it matches cinema's working grid but when you export in vectorworks from the topview this isn't necessary and it imports correct. Atleast that's how I do this... :-)
