  • So was searching around and i found this thread:

    http://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/index.php?showt...p;hl=make+water

but all they end up saying is that it's "really easy" and this guy Dutch_Stylez says he made a water scene in 1 minute.... except he doesn't say how, haha

so i was just wondering how you make a water scene in 1 minute

oh, and i know there are tuts in that other thread, by my computer won't play them :(

its all according to wat kinda water you want. Wat dutch was saying was that he used the other guys shader and then just applied it to the floor object and that only took 2mins. But you can use bump map, displacement map, Noise deformer but its all according to if you want to have the waves interactive or just look noisy. Do some more searchin because there is a ton of content on this topic here at the forum or anywhere for that fact. "A water scene" is a very general term anyways.

I got nice results with the standard emitter and metaballs.

I think with some practice you can get good results.

    These were my first tryouts.

    Thanks Colibert.

Main thing is to get out is the blobby feel ,but with enough particles it can work.

I think with Thinking particles you should have even more succes.

wow, yeah, that's John, that's really cool :)

what kind of texture would you use if you wanted like a pool of water? i was thinking of having a sink with water and your example would be a faucet, but having like a floor with that texture doesn't really look like water

Quick try but static water is still some different.

Hope this can help you on the way.
