  • Hello everyon

I just transfered from 3D studio max to Cinema 4D but of course there is quite a difference in the tools. In max i was able to chamfer edges take make them smooth in Editable Poly mode but how the heck does i do that in cinema 4d? I know there is a fillet parameter when i create a box but lets say i do a lot of modling an wants to make the edges smooth. How does i do that?

Here is an example. I am in edit poly mode and wants to make the edges smooth. How does i do that?

If you select the edges in "edge mode" that you want to chamfer and then choose "bevel" it will do the same thing. There is also a free plugin that is great called Chamfer Maker. You can find the download here...

Yes, to smoothen edges, choose bevel, then change the mode from linear to convex, then drag, the edges will be rounded,

In cinema 4d, chamfer rounds out the edges of splines
