i think Horganovski post came from your responses to peoples replies.

when people help, you shouldnt respond by saying you already have this and have that or tried that already. (it just sounds ungrateful)

if you have tried stuff then show what you have tried.

and if someone says something that you dont need or dont want to do then just say thank you and dont use there advice.

there is no special shader that will help you.

it will come down to practice, taking the advice from everyone, and examining what makes a Reptile Skin look the way it looks.

and dont sound so diffensive about what people are telling you to do..

one question

what Reptile are you trying to make?

    How do you blur a procedural shader anyway? it's obvious with pictures, that just hit the blur.

    I have a hunch that it's somewhere between those layers, but i'm not sure

    you could do it in c4d with the blur setting.

    but to create a realistic reptile skin you wouldnt use procedural shader you would use textures and it would be better to blur it in a 2d app like Photoshop

  • thanks but i would lose alot of details even if i just blur with a very small setting which i dont want.

    but i think i will rise the contrast instead.

    have you tried it?

    if you havent you should at least try it before saying it doesnt work.

    its funny, out of all replies (that would help).
