  • I am pretty sure you also need to have PLA animation turned on in the timeline.

    Morph

you dont need PLA enable when you are scaling object using the "Use Object Tool"

    ehh.. try it!

if you hold shift before dragging your mouse to scale along an axis it will exclude (tip #2) if you drag first, press and hold shift before releasing the mouse button it will quantize movement. Instead of scaling to a number of 10.234m it will scale to 10m. The exact step is 10% of the current size. So if you have a polygon with a size of 200m on the z axis the step will be 20m.

For the knife tool in line mode, if you press the shift key while dragging it will allow you to cut with steps of 45 degrees, so you can cut a perfectly straight line.

    To sum it up:

Scaling: steps of 10% of current size

    movement: steps of 10m

    Rotating: steps of 5 degrees

    Knife: steps of 45 degrees

    26. Model Tool incremental

when using a Tool eg... using the Move Tool, select and hold the axis, then press and hold the "Shift" key while moving the axis (the object will move in 10m increments)

Scaling: steps of 10% of current size

    movement: steps of 10m

    Rotating: steps of 5 degrees

    Knife: steps of 45 degrees

    doubledope, i am on osx...

so you are saying you dont use middle mouse button for switching between 4views and 1? =)

correct, I barely switch between views as it is not needed for the projects I am working on. Placing something like 10,000 houses can all be done in perspective view... laugh.gif

But it is indeed faster and handier, can you maybe tell me how to switch the osx shortkeys off so I can use the c4d ones instead?

    27. Reduce Geometry on NURBS objects

when using Splines on NURBS objects (eg... "SweepNurbs") you can select the splines and change the "Intermediate Points" option to "Natural" or "Uniform"

then reduce the "Number" option (on all splines) until you get the desired result.
