make dust kick up when box hits the ground?

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I would make dust fly up when this box hits the ground.

I assume I would use TP but how can I get the particles to react to the box?

I am a noob when it comes to TP.

Any idea's?

I don't know about that tutorial, but i would use the Xpresso collision node to create a polygon selection for the areas where the box touches the ground and use that selection with a TP Surface Emitter preset to emitt some dust particles.

Thanks for all of your help.

I am pretty lost on this one, I have no experience with tp and espresso, the tut that dataflow provided would work but its not explained very well.

Could someone possible do a quick working example, that is if its quick, lol.

Regardless I am going to give it a go, but I have a feeling I am going to be bashing my head on the wall.

Srek your idea sound like a simpler way, but still I would not know where to start
