    Excellent news :)

I have this plugin and all I can say is "Yeah Baby, this rocks!!" Once my BP DVD is finished I'll be doing a review of the plugin. The review will include a few videos.

It's just pure genius what you have done here. It wouldn't surprize me if AniMidi gets used in some major TV and movie productions. Be sure to protect your copyright and usage rights.

    Well I'm amazed!

The interface is well thought out and it is very easy to use yet powerful.

Nitroman has made a good job of this, I hope the donations are generous. ;-)

    Cheers,

    Hi,

This might be useful if you want to see music timing information in your AniMidi animation.

To create a 4 beats per bar indicator in an AniMidi animation:

    1. Create an additional Midi track in your MIDI music file with 4 quarter notes in each bar (beat note) and another 1 quarter note at the start of each bar (bar note).

    2. Use AniMidi Effects tag to modulate say a cube for the 'beat note' and sphere for the 'bar note'.

    3. Bake the animation to produce key frames in the timeline.

Now you have music timing indicators in the 'View' pane and in the 'Timeline' pane.

The beat/bar MIDI data can also be useful for animating objects to the beat/bar timing of the music.

Edit: Alternate beats can be used to control a walk cycle.

    Cheers,

    SolarExpress
