Zooming Into Viewport Of Projection Mapping

  • (I hope this is in the right forum, but it's a little hard to decide on this one :) )

    I use a large texture to "reverse-model" an object from a photograph. I was able to set up the basic shapes (cubes) pretty well and the test renders look nice.

    The problem is that I have quite a lot of small cylinders (ie buttons) sticking out of that cube. Cylinders would be an easy fix but the viewport resolution is very limited compared to the resolution of the actual projection texture.

    Is there a way to zoom into a viewport -without- changing the camera parameters? That way I can adjust the geometry to fit the texture.
