'3D Spherical Gradient' Behavior

  • Hey there. I'm working on an animation of a tunnel shape with a rainbow gradient texture set to 3d - spherical. I am looking for a trippy rainbow rings effect as the camera travels through the tunnels of different color rings. The 3d Spherical gradient seems to behave independently of everything else. It doesn't update in the render view when I switch projection methods. The rendered result is completely different from the viewport. Any way to align this and get it looking right, in terms of proper projection methods? I am using 3d-spherical gradient and have tried various methods such as flat projection and frontal.

For the 3d Gradient modes you'll have to change the projection mapping inside the Gradient Shader itself. At the bottom of the shader's parameters there's the Space parameter. This will set from where your gradient will be oriented to.
