Clones And Effectors With Random Time Offset

  • this is one of those problems i keep running into over and over again and I've never found a decent solution to. I've attached a simple example scene here.

    all I want is to have a bunch of clones animated by effectors but with each one starting at a random time. this should be simple right? I just can't figure it out.

    as far as I understand it, the time offset parameter requires the original object to be animated, not the effectors.

    any ideas?
