Mograph Help Greatly Appreciated

  • Hi everyone.

I've done the following setup in Mograph but I'm stuck getting the effect I want:

    1. I have a polygonal mesh with a Random Effector as a deformer in Turbulence Mode, deforming the polygons.
    2. Then there is a Cloner set up to object mode, that references the mesh with the deformer. This cloner puts small spheres in the mesh's vertices.
    3. Lastly, a second cloner referencing the same mesh but this one uses cubes and scales them in edge mode.

The problem is that while the animation is playing back as well as in render time, the cloners don't exactly match the deformed mesh's geometry. There seems to be a lag. It seems to me it's a priority issue, where Mograph calculates the clones and then it's conflicting with the original mesh's deformer which is a random effector. I don't know how to force the priority on a cloner.

I could use an atom array as the deformed mesh's parent, but I need Mograph's control because I'm planning to animate the clones eventually.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is priority issue. Only way to assist you is to get the actual scene file and examine the setup :)

    Cheers

Put the sphere at the top of the hierarchy in the object manager.
