Same here. Working on a design that has 3d elements from AutoCAD + Rhino/MoI (use 'em like 1 program) + C4D, assembled in Maxwell's Studio environment. Each was the strongest candidate for the particular task.

Curious about this. I work in Rhino most days. I assumed if you had Rhino you had no reason to also have MOI. What does MOI do that Rhino doesn't?

Plenty of common functionality, but MOI exports very controlled mesh surfaces from NURBS objects (I prefer it for STL output, too) - its SketchUP export (including to older versions) is very clean - flawless ACIS import (plays nicely with ACAD) - spline creation/manipulation is intuitive and the environment is pretty and uncluttered ... a pleasant alternative to the standard overcooked UI if you're just doing basic modeling.

Someone on the modo forum said it was worth the cost even if you only used it as an importer.

I'll have to look into it.
