  • I guess there are quite a few ZBrush users here that might find this interesting, looks like Pixologic have done it again. Really cool box modeling tools and a 64 bit beta version.

The most interesting stuff starts about 16 minutes in.

Thanks Brian, Time for a coffee and sit back and watch.

I found this which looks likes it's part 2 of the launch.

Very cool. I watched both videos skipping over a few bits at the start. The polygon modelling looks cool but artistically inclined rather than doing things precisely. No doubt there are settings for accurate amounts but for precise modelling I think I'll be sticking with C4D.

Even better the upgrade is free.

Look forward to watching this later today.

I'm so in love with zbrush at the moment.

I agree with Kiwi, wish they would introduce precision modelling tools.

The price is still great !

Yeah I watched this live (was a very late night...)
Some great additions, but I have to say with Polypen and the sym updates in R16, I'll still be SubD modelling in Cinema.

Great to see it going 64bit at last, I've had a couple of occasions where I hit the 4GB wall.

One extra thing I'm hoping they'll reveal is a more efficient ZRemesher algorithm for Hard surface meshes, currently it smooths everything and it's hard to maintain loops along crisp edges.

    cheers

    i got to say... damn!

    these are some awesome tools....

    c4d take notice.. ;)

or alternatively we need some plug in devs who can put tools like this into cinema.

You need to fast forward to about halfway. From there it's different than the first the video.

Third video. Best to watch at Youtube's site at 1080 HD res. Clearer than watching here.
