Graphics Driver Error ?

Recommended Posts

Hello there !

I'm experiencing problems with C4D since yesterday.

Its just like after 30 minutes or so the program freezes and shows an error message:

Graphics Driver Error

I updated all my Graphics Driver and my OS is up to date (Windows 7 64 bit)

Please help !!

  • what video card do you have, which drivers are you using. I remember there was an issue with the most recent nvidia drivers for a lot of people.

    I have a AMD Radeon R9 290X and the latest AMD Driver (i think its 14.9) post-178698-0-60339000-1413094372_thumb.

I am one of those having problems with the new nvidia driver. Yesterday I received a "Nvidia Driver Error" for the first time ever while using C4D. My GPU is the 780 6GB. What can I do? Is there a way to uninstall this driver and revert to the previous one?

^^^ Link above does not work. I recently built a new computer to switching over from Apple to windows . I have a 4790k CPU with the graphics card it came with (Intel HD 4600). Anyone with the answers would be helpful?????

you really should by a dedicated video card. I reccomend the a geforce 780 strix or 970 strix. Or wait for the new 980's with 8gb of memory to come in january.

having a 4790k without a dedicated graphics card is a bit of strange decision.

I would suggest ditching the intel GPU and buying an nVidia graphics card.

Any idea why this happens? (When selecting elements and dragging the mouse, or rotating or zooming in the view port) I know it's not the best graphic card, but currently I can't afford another one. Drivers are always up to date.

Crikey that's an old card. Even a budget $100 modern card would be better than this. I recall with these old cards that in the driver settings "VSync" needed to be disabled for things to work properly. Plus the older versions of C4D were not that good at running OpenGL properly.

    "VSync" needed to be disabled

C4D option or graphic card option? Sorry, I'm no nerd :)

It's C4Ds OpenGL capabilities summery what is astonishing (marked in screenshot).

Found it as graphic card option and will give it a try. Thanks
