Wine in glass

  • Normally I'd spline model this, but decided to try my sub-d skills, so all box modelled, and low poly.

The wine texture drove me nuts, but reasonably happy with it now.

  • Thanks. I used to use pre-made textures, but they never looked quite right to me. This one is really simple, with transparency, reflection, and a tiny layered noise bump (at 0.2% strength). Although you can't see the bump, it does seem to enhance the whole glass look.

Nice. Model yourself some fruit, and you have yourself a still life. :)

  • Oooh. There's a challenge. Would have to include grapes which are notoriously difficult to texture.
