  • Hi, i have been experimenting a bit with cmotion and also motion tracking again.

I made this toasterbot. The sound isnt finishen yet and the toast itself i am not completely happy with. Reactions are welcome.

I think it is very well done; love the concept, motion and  to me the sound is fine

I don't have a dirty mind because I use Mental Floss.

    nice one. :)
to me the motion is a little bit too fluid for a robot, especially around sec  10... but i guess you chose to animate him that way for a reason. so i'll shut up now ;) ... good work!

  • Thx for the comments! I adjusted the sound a bit and also the toast is thicker now. I have overwrtitten the original file.

Personaly i like my robots to move a bit organic. They are mechanical in appearance and so the organic movement is a surplus for me.

Yeah, nice work! (and, of course, sweet concept -- this is a very pleasant future world :) )

If I could make one suggestion -- check that the shadows coming off of your 3d objects match the shadows in the footage

    I did, and they do.

Because there are 2 lights above the kitchen island and there is also the sun shining in + some lights in the back its a very complicated light scene. And i think i prety well matched it. You should look at the tea pot as ref not the fruit bowl because that is further away from the lights then the teapot and therefore has a different shodow going on. Also, the fruitbowl itself recieves alse almost no sunlight. The rest of the scene does.
