  • Is there a way to change the reflectivity of the sweep to make it look more like metal?

  • This is the problem I'm trying to get rid of. The angular lines of the sweeps. The helix itself seems to be smooth but the sweeps come out like this:

So, here I am, sorry for delay...

We pay attention to object what have no influence on sweep result, because only tracer (as you have in your setup) makes your sweep smoother.

So, instead of linear type you must use other type (cubic is quite good) and intermediate points set to different type (natural are fine) and finaly increase count to more then 2 or 3 (what is enough for you)

  • Perfect! Thanks! That got it the way I wanted it. Do you know how to make the sweeps more glossy? More reflective?

maybe very low value of glow, some "metal" kind of reflections...

  • Thanks. Do you know how to get rid of this starting line that starts off straight? It's in the lower middle of this picture. Gold line.
