This cool effect

Hey guys, I was watching the INSYDIUM CYCLES 4D demo and I found this traveling light effect through particles and splines quite interesting, any idea how to create such effect?

Well, if you check some of the legendary Beeple stuff, he uses an animated texture, simply made in after effects.

You can of course use some transparent material, and let a let little lights follow you object, example is this freaking cool tutorial.
