@nerv Thanks so much for the Opalescent shader hints, much appreciated. I'm also eternally grateful for the video tuts as well. Slightly jealous they didn't come a few weeks ago (would have saved a lot of thumbling around!), but really happy you managed to find the time to create these.

Nice to know the issue with the lights overburning in the viewport is a universal thing. I actually thought they were broken and use only the dome light, will have another crack at it now.

Btw, if you ever think of creating a Youtube channel with RedShift tuts (once it goes official), you have a subscriber right here!

@SKaiser happy to help.  I'll definitely be making more tutorials as time goes by.

@SIgor you could also use the Curvature Shader.   I haven't had time to record video, but did have time to take a quick screenshot.

I'm simply driving the diffuse color in this example, but you could definitely use it in more complex ways, like blending different kinds of materials, etc.

@SIgor no problem!

Here's another tutorial, going into using native C4D shaders within Redshift and how to map them to different things - including bump maps and displacement maps!

@SIgor those came out nice! Is that the curvature shader creating the fade on the edges of the cartridge and the trigger?

And I'd be happy to clarify any lingering questions you have about the nodes!  Just let me know.

No, I used maps from 3D Coat I previously made.

I can't figure out how to use alpha masks and I don't know what are nodes for, some I know, but the majority I don't. I can't find all the nodes in the RS documentation.

hi guys, does anyone know how to achieve the following: I have a single polygon object and a single RS Shader Graph material. Within the Shader Graph I want to have multiple materials, each assigned to specific polygon selections (in the same polygon object). I’ve tried a few things with the RS Material Blender and Shader Switch nodes, trying to apply the materials to specific polygon selections or Vertex maps with no success. Any ideas?
