C4D doesn't work on Ryzen

Recommended Posts

Guest PhilBao

Has anybody got ryzen yet? I just got ryzen 1700 and Asus b350 to change my Intel platform. But CINEMA 4D doesn't work any more. When double click the CINEMA 4D icon, nothing happen, even a flash. Literally nothing. The only thing that I know is task manager shows the CINEMA 4D background process. It's a disaster. Anybody knows what happened? Please help me:(

It's CINEMA 4D R18 on windows 10. Every other apps work fine, such as Adobe and maya. Just CINEMA 4D has some problem. I reinstall my windows 10 and still doesn't work.

  • Cinema 4D R17 works fine. Only R18 has this problem. I've already submit this situation to MAXON.

Ok, so all is not lost then... that would be such a crying shame if those chips weren't gonna work for us in R18...

  • It is odd indeed. Every other software works fine, even r17. Just R18 has no response. Maybe a little patch can solve this problem.

... and at least you are not left with no C4D at all until such time as that arrives...

It has clearly progress in render time. Almost twice as fast as my old e3 1231 v3.

I am aware you already submitted this to MAXON but can you please try the following?

Make a safe copy of your R18 installation then  delete Mesa folder from this location:

    /resource/libs/win64

    Does it start?
