back ground images in perspective?

was/is there a way to see your background images in perspective view?  I thought I have seen it before in tutorials but can't seem to find it.  then again it could just be I imagined the whole thing.  :confused:

No, that should work. If you mean the background object. But if you mean the images you load into viewport back, that's a no, and always has been in perspective - in fact you can't even load a background image into that viewport in the view settings.

Way round it is to assign your background image to a plane instead (use CV Image to Plane to do this in one click) and position it behind your model while you work on it, but that will never beat the accuracy you get by only working in orthographic views.

  • Thanks Cerbera, I figured I was having a senior moment but wasn't sure.  It was probably they were using a plane with the images on it that I was remembering.
