  3. In this workflow tutorial we will have a look at how we can place objects on, and align them to, surfaces of other objects. We need to add details like screws and bolts to models all the time, so let's see what options we have to do that in Cinema 4D. First, we will take a closer look at the options available in Cinema 4D, like snapping, Axis Extension, Workplanes, and MoGraph. Then I will show you a couple of plugins I have been using for a long time that will make the job of placing objects and aligning them to surfaces of other objects much easier and faster.

  11. In this video I will show you how to model a simple scifi kitbash part in a CAD/Nurbs modelling software called Moment of Inspiration, or Moi 3D. I will also show you how to export the finished model as an OBJ, and how to import it into Cinema 4D. You can download a demo version of MoI 3D (fully functional for 30 days) here: http://moi3d.com/download.htm I bought MoI 3D at PaulTheCAD, where it is currently available at least a little bit cheaper than elsewhere. European customers do not have to pay extra money for VAT if they buy it there: https://paultheca

  14. In this tutorial we are going to practice modeling with subdivision surfaces (SDS) using a fairly simple object as an example. The tutorial consists of three videos: In the first video we will create the base geometry. In the second video we will add the control edges we need in order to hold the shape of the object under subdivision. In the third and final video we will have a look at loops and find out how we can change them to suit our needs. I am using a free plugin called "Magic Wedge Tool" by Nitro4D. You can download the plugin fro
