  1. Hi everyone, This looks a lot of fun so thought I'd try giving it a go, have to say the artwork submitted so far is great and very inspiring! I thought of doing a tavern styled like a mushroom or a two-story mushroom, maybe at twilight with a bit of DOF etc... Anyway here's my initial sketches (terrible at drawing!) and I've started blocking out some shapes. Cheers, Jody

  5. Heres a link to a visual reference of C4D noises from Erich Gooch, I think there is a quite in-depth PDF out there somewhere too. Deck http://www.cybergooch.com/pages/c4d/noise/c4d_noise.htm

  7. @CerberaThank you so much! I will definitely check out that video and look into VB as well as material noises and displacement!

  8. It's because your planet shape has no UV map. This mode of the Surface Deformer requires one, and not only that, but also that its UVs are contiguous and non-overlapping. The solution then is to UV unwrap the planet object. Primitives come with their own UVs (not visible until made editable) so that's why they work when your model doesn't. But TBH I don't think this is a necessarily great way to get a road on a surface, and I would be tempted to look at a number of other ways first. To recommend alternatives we would need to see your actual mesh. CBR

  9. Welcome to the cafe This sort of abstract, organic thing is pretty much the exclusive realm of the volume builder in Cinema. But also metaballs, and any of our various generators and deformers will likely be useful. I suggest you begin your explorations by watching an overview of the VB, and any video that covers material noises and displacement, which will be vital to this sort of thing... Here's quite an advanced one, uploaded very recently, but there are lots of beginner ones on youtube as well. CBR

  11. Hello everyone, I seem to be having the same issue as everyone else. I've tried deleting preferences and uninstalled the Wacom program from my system however C4D is still crashing my PC. Crashing seems to be happening when I am adjusting lights with Redshift render view on. Last time it crashed I was excluding objects from the project tab of the Redshift light. 12. Hello, Reporting similar issues. I am able to reproduce a crash pretty consistently by pressing middle-mouse click to switch from 4-up viewer windows to 1-up view windows. Tried deleting the prefs folder, but no luck. I do still have plugins installed, and HB Modeling tools, but not sure if they are the cause of this? Specs below. Operating System and version: Windows 10 / 10.0.1836 Build 18363 GPU and CPU Make and model: Nvidia 1080ti x2 / Intel i7-6850K @ 3.6GHz Cinema4D version: R23 What were you doing at time of crash: Middle click.
