  1. Thanks Guys for all your help. After trying out various methods and mix and match of different techniques and not getting satisfied with the result that i was getting, I ended up sculpting the letters finally. Here's a result of the sculpt with some basic lighting.
  2. Hey Guys, Thanks for all your help. I am trying to mix and match these techniques to achieve a nice looking result. Any ideas on achieving the little creases and folds? Is sculpting the only option to achieve those little details.
  3. Hey Guys, Thanks so much for all your help. It is really appreciated. @Cerbera: I thought it will be difficult using the softbody dynamics. But it was just a random idea which i thought can lead somewhere. Anyway after reading your comment, i have dropped the softbody approach to this. @muratz: I tried but was unable to follow the mentioned steps to get an appropriate result, Can you please elaborate the steps a little bit more? Some screenshots would really help understanding your whole process. @rfanoni: This method is really cool and gives a nice result, but the client wants the vertical cuts. I wonder if there is a way to achieve the vertical cuts using this method, or something similar to this.
  4. Hey Guys, I recently came across an assignment to model the attached image. I was thinking of going with either sculpting or soft bodies(inflating the base mesh with some kind of net thing restraining it to form the quilted shape). Which would be the better way of achieving a clean realistic look? Is there any other way apart from sculpting or soft body dynamics, which would be simpler and give a better result? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  5. Post the final scene file .. Maybe someone can figure out why point morph is not working in your file.
