  1. I use Fusion 360 to convert subdivision surface models to step files. Bring in the control cage mesh from your 3D program as fbx or I think obj can work too. Right click on the item in the Fusion scene and select convert and then convert to T-Splines Right click the t-splines model and again select convert and this time convert to B-Rep Now you can export the B-Rep as step and bring it into Solidworks If you are not using subdivision surfaces for your model, I think you can go right from the polygon item to a B-Rep, although I'm not sure how well that works out. Not something I ever need to do.
