  1. I think so. When I get some time shortly I will write a file and post it.
  2. That would be very straightforward in Xpresso by feeding the index number in Random Node Seed port.
  3. My latest DNA animation added to the folder; https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14UyOsFAlidf8-4k6i-KK-py8xxJuLduJ?usp=sharing I love the way C4D handles these animations! I feel empowered so lots of spinoff videos will be added to the folder over time concerning CRISPR Cas9
  4. That is a favorite area of mine and I would love to help you on any projects you do in the future! Please have a low threshold for posting questions! Here is a link to my DNA folder and there is one video in there currently but it is where I will be posting future spinoff projects on CRISP Cas9. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14UyOsFAlidf8-4k6i-KK-py8xxJuLduJ?usp=sharing
  5. Glad I can help! I will post my first video made with my parametric DNA rig, DNA Helicase, tomorrow to show you what I am babbling about. Also, here's a gorgeous video by Eric Small and it shows just how fabulous projects can be using C4D:
  6. This is not my project file, it is a straight download with ePMV from the PDB, but are welcome to it and modify it. DNA 3.c4d.zipDNA 3.c4d.zip I will delete it tomorrow due to the size.
  7. Here is an important principle: Matrix Deformation 1.c4d.zip
  8. I am currently doing projects on CRISPR Cas9 and modeling extensively with DNA. What I did was use a separate Twist deformer on separate left and right Matrix objects in Linear Mode for each strand and separate Cloners for left and right in Object Mode on the Matrix Objects. There still was a tiny bit of misalignment when twisting so I added a Plain effector on the Matrix object to finesse the portions. Remember to have one full rotation with the Twist for each 10 base pairs. Matrix Deformation 1.c4d.zip
  9. Here are two early animations from my parametric DNA rig (this is seriously fun!): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SlO9-eMjhAX_zMc8jTgrSPAeBx7GPbPd/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_lnXVTPNAfkAEzr0JMIn5oELaT-4Bo0v/view?usp=sharing
  10. I just finished a parametric DNA file and I limited it to 500 nucleotides but it could go way higher. With User Data you can make your strand with whatever number of nucleotides you want. The file has 2 separate strands so I can separate them to demonstrate processes yet the correct nucleotide base pairs always pair correctly. Now I have a file to demonstrate polymerization, DNA repair, gene editing with CRISPR technology, gene packaging, and the possibilities are limitless. Using deformers and effectors I will be able to demonstrate almost anything. Also you can have different base pair combinations easily with different strands. Here is a quickie demo video I made but I will make a way better one soon. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MyqkS7-H728jh8rP0u3FxKaZK11LbCsC/view?usp=sharing
  11. You can do it with Mograph Selections used by colored Shader Effectors. Your example was so cute I may have to do that one myself. Shape Shader Dynamic 2.c4d.zip
  12. Like this? or using a Collision Deformer but making the object, in this case a Sweep, invisible. (files deleted)
  13. Here's an example I just made. Does it work in R14? Repel Effector.c4d.zip
  14. Here's a cool trick which might work for you (among many ways to do that):
