  1. I'm also a Maya Rigger. And I can say it with certainty, its not possible. At least not as stable in Maya. C4D doesn't allow smooth stacking of skin deformer, unlike Maya and perhaps Blender. https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/112274-is-skin-deformer-still-stuck-at-generator-1-priority/?tab=comments#comment-722723 Its a dead-end unless they rewrite the deformers or someone comes with a custom skin deformer.
  2. Ah yep. Unfortunately, in conclusion, it is still stuck at Generator -1. Same goes with other deformers. It's sad really. This is why Maya/Blender is still way over league beyond Cinema4D, in terms of rigging. You can check more details on the discussion here: https://plugincafe.MAXON.net/topic/12942/priority-delay-on-stacking-skin-deformers
  3. By knotted, I meant the zip tie is already in curled position. By unknotted, I meant its in a default/neutral state position. RE: I cant seem to get the end of the zip tie to navigate its way around an object. Yes, because you have a lot of control points. As mentioned, 4-6 should do.
  4. Is the zip tie knotted or unknotted? Because i think you need a separate rig for both. You can do it with one, but I think it will be hard to maintain the form. In addition, you have to many control points on your spline objects. 4-6 should do.
  5. Hi, As far as I know, the skin deformer is fixed at "Generator -1" Priority. I couldn't find any description on the documentation regarding that but that's what my experience and what others wrote in the forum. I just tried it again, on a passing, on a rig I'm currently working. Tag A (Generator -3) Tag B (Generator -2) Skin Deformer (Generator -1) This works. No lag/computation delay. I changed them as follows. Tag A (Generator 0) Tag B (Generator 1) Skin Deformer (Generator 2) As you can see the order of operation is still the same as before, but
  6. By any chance, is this what you are after? Although, I made in C4D and Xparticles hou
  7. If there is a demand, there is a supply haha
  8. Here is a sample file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ope1hes757vz1j/c4d305_time_offset_mograph_fields.c4d?dl=0 The cloned spheres should be moving as the original sphere is animated/keyed.
  9. @deck Thanks for the response. But I can't seem to recreate it I'm using the fields instead of the fall-off.
  10. Hi, I'm watching this tutorial about Offset and Randomize Keyframed Animation on MoGraph Clones in C4D. The problem is its a pre-fields era. I can't recreate it. Is there a change setting for the fields to take effect?
  11. Thanks for the response but no. I don't want any stop motion. I like my animation sequence as is. I just want it to be triggered when I activate a parameter (on/off).
  12. @bezo I guess the most direct equivalent would be in games. If you press SPACE. A Jump animation sequence is triggered. Only in this case, I activate a parameter in C4D. And another animation sequence is triggered.
  13. @bezo Thanks for the response. But no. The repetition have an undefined interval based on the parameters I set on the sound effector. The solution you presented, correct me if I'm wrong, are repeated one after the another (i.e. after animation ends another immediately begins).
  14. Hi, Is there a way I can key an pre-animated sequence? Supposing I have a 12 frame animation. And I need to repeat it 8 times on a timeline. Manually, I have to copy the 12 frame animation 8 times. And when I change something in animation, I have to change it 8 times. I was thinking of storing it on a variable or a parameter so its easier to manage. For example, a parameter named "Gradient Animation" with a Boolean type. If Frame 20, off. Frame 21, on. Frame 22, off. The animation will run from Frame 21 to Frame 23 (i.e. 12 frames). Is this
  15. I think this is the work for the xpTrails https://vimeo.com/98110835 For the "connected to one another by lines (depending on their group)", you can just use the "group connected" tab.
  16. You just need to have at least one keyframe on the Y position. Go to timeline > functions > bake objects. As to exporting to .glb, I'm not sure about that as I haven't tried.
  17. @jed Ah no. hehe I posted above the actual link. I found it
  18. Thanks for the response. I was able to find it! It was a really good work. It hyped me back then on learning new stuff.
  19. DISCLAIMER: Not directly related to Cinema4D but I'm a bit desperate lol. Hi, By any chance, do you remember a simple 3D Typography Piece based on "daft punk harder better faster" ? Basically, the camera was static and there is a word wheel and it just spins as it hits the actual words "harder", "better" , faster". I saw it in vimeo like 8-10 years ago? But I can't seem to find it no matter how hard I search. Can someone remember? Its driving me mad hahaha
  20. @bezo Thanks for the response! Slr. For some reason I can't receive notifications in the forum unless I'm tag. Works as expected.
  21. Same here. Ever since Singapore distributor closed down, I have nowhere to turn to. I'm from PH. I really don't get the need for the distributor. We are already on a digital age. We can just buy/upgare directly.
  22. @srek Thanks for the response. Will check MAXON Shop later. BTW, the R23 is the one with Python 3 release right?
  23. Are there pricing info from R21 to R23 perpetual upgrade?
