Need help contouring objects to form

The surface deformer looks like it will be a very valuable asset. There's only one issue I'm having- is it possible to rotate an object that is deformed to a surface? I tried enabling the axis and altering that but all it does is skew the shape

Oh I see, so I make a duplicate spline and set it as the rail to the spline in the wrap, and then modulate those settings in the spline wrap? I will start messing around with the rail, thank you again for the help. Definitely let me know if you think of anything else. Also, if it helps I don't necessarily need them to be animatable along a spline, just along the contours of the face- this was just the best way I could think of to "adhere" them to the contours of the head geometry. If there's another way to do that without projecting splines I could approach it from a different angle. Thank you again!

I don't usually work with splines so please correct me if I get this wrong- the rail spline would add width to the projected spline, allowing the geometry to wrap more closely? And I would nest the rail spline within the spline wrap? Does the rail spline allow for multiple planes across the width of the spline, or just allow me to manually control the width in certain areas? Is it possible to project onto multiple splines (like a top, bottom, and center spline)? Thanks for your help
  4. Hello, I'm trying to contour multiple brush strokes around a base model for a specific look. The best solution I've found so far is projecting a spline against the model and then wrapping a brush stroke to the spline. The problem is that the brush strokes don't adhere flat to the head model, even with manual adjustment. Is there a solution or another way I could approach this? The end goal is to have at least 10-15 brush strokes adhered to the head model so that each can be independently animatable, if that helps. Happy to provide scene file or any other info as needed Thanks!
