  1. I've been using the Bake Texture tag to bake spherical renders out to proper UV maps for a UV mapped environmental projection job. This process is very slow and ties up a workstation. We have a render farm but I can't figure out how to send it to the farm to distribute to the nodes. We use deadline to set up our render farm jobs. Can anyone think of a way to go about this? Would it be possible to add a python script that tells the nodes to execute the tag? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Gary
  2. You can also do this by animating the strength of your random effector over time from 0% to 100%. Just increase your rotation values to increase the amount of rotation. You can also add a non-animated random effector to randomize the start values. Both random effector should be in 'random' mode.
  3. Maybe you could try a 3d noise in a displacer under a plane. Quanize the noise using a colorizer into 5 or 6 steps. Make sure the plane has enough subdivisions to get a clean result. Then add a material with a 3d linear gradient, quantized with the same number of steps.
