  1. Thank you both for your help, it seems like this problem is just a bug that I'll just need to report and use a workaround for it in the meantime. Glad to find out that this isn't something I'm doing wrong and just an error in the calculation because of the rotation of the deformer.
  2. Hello, I'm having some problems using the collision deformer in c4d. Whenever the collided object spins away from the collision, the dents that results are for some reason inverted until it spins back around. I want the dents to persist even as they move away from the object, and I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. I've read the help menu for the collision deformer and gone over all the settings and have been unable to find a configuration that doesn't transform the dents into bulges as it moves.   3. I'm not 100% sure without seeing an image of your dialog box, but I think this is the common dialog box that comes up when making a new texture. I believe in this instance, it is asking if you would like to make a copy of the file you chose to the project folder (the place where your project is being saved) or if you would like you to reference the file elsewhere on your system. You can choose 'no' on this dialog box to reference the file, or 'yes' to make a copy. This is a dialog box that comes up often. Sometimes you want to make a copy, others times you don't, it just depends on what you're working on. Either way, it should show up in your texture with no problems. If this is not the case, post back with a screenshot of the dialog box and we'll try to get things sorted.
