  1. Hello, I've been an after effects and C4D user for almost 3 years now and my laptop's simply not enough for me, crashes everywhere!! I'd like to ask the community what's possibly the best workstation we can get for the budget of £1.5K - £2K (just the station itself, no screen, keyboard or mouse) I'm willing to buy part by part and built it myself or someone experienced in a store or something,... Is it possible to get a build in which I can upgrade in the future if I want to? For example, update a graphic card or even CPU if I need to? Thank you all, Diogo
  2. Hi again, Is it worth in a near future to buy one more graphic card to make SLI? If so, more or less powerful?
  3. Hello C4Ders, After a lot of reading, I decided to go for the i7-8700k. I'm a beginner/intermediate user of C4D and after effects and I really want to get to an expert level, I started this build and I believe it's the right way for me to develop my skills, I've already bought some parts and got some nice prices on Ebay, Graphic card and ram are used items. (The only items I bought till now were the CPU, graphic card and RAM.) I should also refer that I'm building this build to be easily updated, more ram and eventually 2 graphic cards. Would you guys tell me what could I change, for cheaper and possibly better, what I've not bought yet?
  4. Hi again, This will probably be my setup, but I still have some doubts... Can I make it cheaper and more worth? Should I get another graphic card? I'm not sure about this one, I never used Octane but I'm willing to. About the case, I chose it randomly, can some one guide me about which size I need? Thanks in advance to all of you
  5. I was thinking about getting a cheaper Motherboard, around £100 - £130. What do you guys think about this one Asus PRIME X370-PRO ATX AM4. I'll probably go for the Ryzen 2700x...
  6. Hi !! Very helpful info, thanks a lot mate! I know crashes will never stop, but changing from a 6 year laptop (8gb ram + to a new station will make the difference I bet. Just so you can have an idea, this were my last specs: Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor (2.0GHz, up to 2.9GHz Turbo Boost, 6MB cache, 45W TDP) Nvidia GeForce GT 555M graphics card with 2GB DDR3 dedicated video memory 8GB DDR3-1333 RAM 750GB 7200RPM Seagate hard drive (ST9750420AS)
  7. I've looked for but most of them are for budgets which I can't support.
