  1. Thank you, Zeden! That worked! I will have to go back and see where I may have went wrong during scene creation.
  2. I'm rendering my C4D Redshift scene with multiple AOV's as OpenEXR multi-layer files and am having tons of issues trying to composite the layers in After Effects. When I blend my layers together, the composite shows up super dark. I have read so many forum posts on how to fix this problem, they all pretty much say the same thing and nothing seems to work. I was originally following this Youtube tutorial. I'm following the same exact workflow and still my images don't show up correctly in AE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMZKGuDNY5A&list=PLMeO87vDgOoPhtqXUQcjEEkJafH_6H_O
  3. Thanks for the response! I did render my reference in Standard render. I think attempting prorender was my last resort before hopping on to c4d cafe and ask for help. I probably just saved the file with the pro-render setting. Yea, one of my thoughts were an issue with the alpha. I'll keep playing with it. It's going over a blue sky bg so chances are I'll be the only one who even notices it. Thanks again for checking it out.
  4. Hi CBR! I've attached the project file, yes, the noise is in the bluer edges of the clouds. Also, when you open the project file, I have a camera pulling back quickly. If you do a render and watch the result, I see hard lines within the clouds that move through the clouds. Hope that makes sense once you see it. Thank you for your help! HairClouds102.c4d.zip
  5. Hi there, I'm trying to create some clouds with pyrocluster and I'm noticing that around some of the edges, there is a lot of noise and artifacting. I've attached a screenshot for reference. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried adjusting light samples and shadow samples within the pyrocluster material tag. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  6. Hi! I'm new to using Prorender and I'm having trouble excluding lights and curtains objects from the final render. I've tried a compositing tag and unchecking "seen by camera" and the lights/objects still appear in my render. Then I learned that Prorender does not support including and excluding through the compositing tag. Is there any other way to exclude lights/objects from the final camera's render view? Thanks!
  7. Hi there, I'm having this issue with my scene where when I activate shadow maps (soft) on one of my spot lights, it wont render. I can see the light illuminating my object in the viewport and I have copies of the same exact spot light with the same settings in other positions in my scene which render perfectly with shadows (except one, more on that below). It's just this one spot light that wont render if shadows are turned on. If I turn shadows off, it renders. There are no compositing tags on it and I've set my OpenGL setting for maximum lights/shadows. (which I don't think matte
  8. I spent HOURS trying to figure out what was going on! Thank you for letting us know :)
  9. Oh my gosh! You're the greatest! Thank you so much!
  10. Thanks for responding so quickly! I'm fairly new to C4d. How do I use the falloff options? I didn't use a spline because I was initially trying to save time from having to manually draw the paperclip shape. Now I've realized that drawing the spline would've just been easier, however, I've gone down this rabbit hole of why I was unable to use multiple bend deformers.
  11. Hi everyone! I'm trying to model a simple paperclip. I thought this would be the easiest thing in the world to model. I've placed a very tall, skinny cylinder in my scene, and then started bending it around with bend deformers. I started running into issues on the fourth bend deformer. When I go to apply the fourth bend and move it into place, it starts messing with my geometry on other parts of my paperclip. I attached screenshots of what's happening and I've also linked to the project file in the Dropbox link below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5iantv5q09zvbwr/paperclip.
