  1. Thanks - that makes sense. Is there a reason it worked for the one on the left but not the right as they are made from the same technique? In this test file I can bevel the edge even though the N gons are present. I just want to make sure I'm not doing something obvious wrong. In the tutorial that I'm following along with he was able to bevel along the edges even though there were ngons present. If you're interested you can view his file here (05_06 Boolean Strategies) where it works - if not that's okay you've already helped a lot! 05_06_BooleanStrategies.c4d test2.c4d
  2. test.c4d Here you go. Kindly let me know if you can find the reason why. Thank you for your help!
  3. Both cylinders were made out of a single boole. When I try to chamfer the edges at the same time one seems inverted and bevels into itself. Anyone have any clue why?
  4. Thank you! Coming from photoshop "save as default scene" wasn't very intuitive.
  5. I'd like to always see selected edges and polygons for all projects. the Edit -- set as default button for the viewport settings is greyed out for me. do i have to turn it on for every new project?
  6. Mine is on the left, tutorial is on the right. Also why is there a crop on my view finder? looks like a pillar box effect / aspect ratio thing thats on the tutorial. thank you!!
