I was surprised that no one had mentioned Solidworks here as a strong CAD software yet. What I particularly like about it is its compatibility and interaction with various software - almost any 3D application. If you need integration with multiphysics simulation software, that is LiveLink interface for COMSOL. Interaction with 3D scanning software - scan-to-Solidworks for Artec, FARO, etc.
