  1. Hi, Sorry I just got round to this now, but thank you so much for you replies. That sounds very complicated (complete noob with materials and lights) but I will take another read and see if I can get my head around it. Just playing around with a material I found online, I have the following but it still looks flat, I am hoping to eventually get it looking "realistic" but since just modelling it has took me years, no doubt this will take just as long learning process I suppose, starting from zero. Any noob friendly help/suggestions will be greatly appr
  2. Hi, thank you so much for such a quick response! I really need to update my profile, I am actually on R20! Yeah so my idea is to get a nice render of the ship in space as it would appear in the movie. I will tinker with the advice you have given and post any results for feedback if that's ok. Any further and extremely noob friendly advice would always be immensely appreciated, thanks again!
  3. Hi, I am reaching the end of the modelling phase of the Abrams Enterprise and I keep trying to make a start on adding materials and lights but I really have no idea where to even start, everything I seem to try just looks wrong, as in not photorealistic at all. I am completely new to adding materials and lighting to give a realistic finish so any help/guidance would be extremely appreciated. Attached a screenshot of what I am working with for reference, thanks.
  4. Nah it seems like you got it spot on, I will do that, thank you very much!
  5. Hi, I have attached an image of what I have, what I would like to do is to wrap the selected part around the saucer, i have tried projecting but that does not work. I have tried manually moving points and it looks passable but I feel there must be a better way, can anyone help? Thank you so much.
